This policy explains what personal information Fish Nest (fishnest.in) collects, why, and how we handle it. We aim to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
For customers: your name, phone number, email, delivery address and pincode, your orders, and any reviews you post. For farmers: your name, farm location, WhatsApp and login phone, email, and your listings. We also keep basic visit counts and, if you upload one, a payment screenshot you choose to attach to an order.
To create and run your account, to pass your order to the relevant farmer so it can be fulfilled, to let farmers and customers connect for a sale, to show ratings, to operate listing fees, and to keep the platform secure.
When you order, your contact and delivery details are shared with the farmer so they can fulfil and deliver the order. Payment happens directly between you and the farmer; Fish Nest does not collect or store your payment/bank/UPI credentials. Any payment screenshot you choose to upload is optional and is automatically deleted after a set period.
We share order and contact details only with the farmer needed to fulfil your order. We do not sell your personal data. We may share information if required by law.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (such as which pages are popular and general device/location trends). This uses cookies and collects usage data in aggregate. We use it only to improve the platform, not to identify you personally.
We keep account and order records while your account is active and as needed for our records. Uploaded payment screenshots are deleted automatically after the configured period.
Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form, the site uses HTTPS, and we apply reasonable safeguards. No online system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect your data.
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and you may withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
The platform is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date shows the latest version.
